Valentines
Having worked in food establishments I have seen my fair share of Valentine Day dinners. While they do come with good money, they are stressful beasts that must be avoided at all costs. This was the first year I spent Valentines outside of a restaurant since the time I joined the grown up world of employment, I loved it; if we never went out for a Valentine Dinner then I would forever be a happy camper.

Showin off the ring
You know those pictures people take soon after they become engaged to show off the ring and their bright smiling faces? I think most of them are weird. If we decide that we are going to be those people too, I want to be in a boxing stance holding my hands up and probably do a few combinations as the camera flashes. Don't worry, I won't move my hands so fast that it all becomes a blur and the ring is no longer visible.

Scent
If you smell like garlic I will probably follow you around like a puppy, because garlic smells good, and so would you.

Locations
Whenever and wherever you get up the guts to ask the question will instantly become one of my most favorite places ever; with that in mind may I ask that wherever we start that new phase in our relationship can it not be on any temple grounds [those are for weddings not engagements] and not in the back of a carriage [looking at a horse bum? ew]. Also since I might cry it would be nice if there wasn't a crowd but if I had you by my side I would survive if I did cry in front of a slew of people.

It's True
By the time we get married I will probably have practiced my signature with your last name a time or two--just to see what it would look like of course.

The Car Stereo
Was made to play cheesy music and to be sung along with. Disney movies work the same way too.

In a Perfect World
In a perfect world furnaces wouldn't be temperamental, we wouldn't have to pay a utility bill and basements wouldn't be freezing. And cookie dough would be in an abundance.
We can't have everything we want, but we can have cookie dough.
We can't have everything we want, but we can have cookie dough.

Whatever you call it,
please enjoy these personality quirks
because if my amazing grandmother is any indication of how I'll turn out--
well then,
these traits are here to stay--
and to be cherished.
You can have some quirks too if you want.

Something to Think About
Since I am such an expert here. What are your thoughts?
The bottom line is that (a) people are never perfect, but love can be, (b) that is the one and only way that the mediocre and the vile can be transformed, and (c) doing that makes it that. Loving makes love. Loving makes itself. We waste time looking for the perfect lover instead of creating the perfect love. Wouldn't that be the way to make love stay?
